You do not have to wait until election day. Any eligible Toronto voter can vote by mail, vote in the advance days, or vote on Monday, October 26. The mail-in application window closes this week.
Vote by mail
Apply by Thursday, September 24 at 4:30 p.m. Request a package on MyVote, email VoteByMail@toronto.ca, or call 311 / 416-338-1111 (option 5).
- Packages started mailing September 14.
- Mark the ballot in black or blue ink, sign the declaration, and return the whole package — ballot plus supporting documents.
- It must arrive by Wednesday, October 14 at noon. A postmark does not count.
- Use the prepaid Canada Post envelope, or a yellow Toronto Elections drop box (available October 1–14, one per ward).
- Track your package with the confirmation code from your email.

Vote early in person
Advance voting runs October 6–11, 2026, every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Any eligible voter can go — no reason required. Enter your address in MyVote to find your early voting place.
Election day
Monday, October 26, 2026, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at your assigned voting place. MyVote shows you where it is.
Vote by proxy
If you cannot vote yourself, you can appoint someone to vote for you. Call 311 (416-338-1111) for the proxy form.
Not sure if you are registered? Check in two minutes with the City’s MyVote tool. Voters’-list updates close at 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 11. After that you can still add your name with acceptable ID when you vote during advance days or on election day.
