One of the most beautiful things I experience while meeting potential voters is the opportunity to have real conversations with people.
These conversations remind me how thoughtful, polite, curious and engaged Canadians can be. People ask questions. They listen. They challenge ideas. They do their own research and due diligence rather than relying solely on what the media tells them – or what may be missing from the public conversation.
That is what democracy should look like: people meeting one another, asking difficult questions, exchanging ideas respectfully and making their own informed decisions.
Every conversation teaches me something, and every door I knock on reminds me why direct engagement with Torontonians matters so much.
Democracy is strongest when people think for themselves, ask questions and make informed choices.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to speak with me, whether you agree with me on everything or not. These conversations are one of the most meaningful parts of running for Mayor of Toronto.
